Spirit of Rasputin’s is pleased to present Lynne Hanson on January 25 as the next of our Featured Artists Series concerts.
Lynne has a collection of new songs that she’s planning to unveil for our Spirit of Rasputin’s audience before recording them in the spring for her upcoming latest album. What could be better than a crop of new songs for the new year? What could be better than a Lynne Hanson concert on a Sunday afternoon?
She has ten albums to her credit, including Heartbreak Song for the Radio with Lynn Miles released in 2018. Lynne has been nominated for or received numerous awards over the last few years. These have ranged from The Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award in 2010, to a couple shared with The Lynnes in 2018, to a nomination for Contemporary Album of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2024.
Lynne writes strong, relatable songs and delivers them with cool conviction. There’s a bit of grit in her voice and a bit of groove in her playing.
