Hosted, produced, & curated by Chicago burlesque besties Kitty Tornado & Greta-X, you don't want to miss this showcase that's a celebration of bodies and rock n' roll!

Lust for Life was born in 2022 from a lifelong love for rock n’ roll and badass self-expression. Named after the iconic 1977 punk album / anthem of the same title by Iggy Pop, Kitty and Greta aim to bring a variety of rock-based burlesque and boylesque acts to Lemon with their co-curated line-ups against a soundtrack of timeless riffs! These badass babes hope to put on an evening that electrifies, delights, and celebrates TWO classically-rebellious forms of art TOGETHER AT ONCE: rock n’ roll music and burlesque striptease!For their NEW YEAR / NEW VENUE debut, Kitty and Greta perform together and welcome in sensational guest performers DD DuPree, Miss Nyxon, and Sunny Haelstorm!

Following Lemon’s Happy Hour, which lasts from 4-6pm:

Kitty Tornado (she/her) first blew her way into burlesque when she moved from Michigan to Chicago in 2014 and performed throughout the Midwest until 2019. With a degree in theater production as a “behind the scenes bitch,” Kitty never imagined that she would love the stage time and getting naked for the masses! She loves burlesque most for its creativity and liberation. Kitty spent a few years on a performance hiatus, and traveled across Europe while living overseas in España before returning to Chicago and becoming the Co-Creator/Producer of Lust for Life. When not storming the stage, she ‘grams about travel and food, hides her secret identity in the corporate world and eats as many famous burgers as she possibly can. She’s the threat of the Midwest!

Greta-X (she/her) is a visual artist, educator, and audiophile who first sank her crooked teeth into local burlesque in 2017. A “Learning Queen,” Greta holds two Master’s degrees and combines documentary photography, writing, and image-based research to create work about sex workers and burlesque entertainers. Bringing together her lifelong love of rock music, glitter, and glamorous gender-bending, she’s the smartest lass in the class – with the best ass!

A lifelong theater nerd, DD DuPree (she/her) always knew she was meant for the stage. Inspired by the curves and charisma of the showgirls of yesteryear, she brings energy, body positivity, and sultry appeal every time she steps on stage. She’s two handfuls of fun! ()

Miss Nyxon (she/her) is a performer down to her witchy bones. Growing up in the professional wrestling industry, hailing from the iconic wrestling dynasty Los Guerreros, she has been in front of audiences of thousands since 13 years old. She has been a professional wrestler, ring announcer, dancer and stunt woman. Currently she is a dancer and choreographer for The Vaudettes, an international touring rock n’ roll dance troupe. When she isn’t teaching or costuming, she performs regularly within the Chicago burlesque scene, and you can find her at: Untitled, The Drifter, Bordel, House of Blues, and more! She is the Bad Girl of Burlesque, Latina Heat – Miss Nyxon! ()

Sunny Haelstorm (they/she) is a performing and teaching artist who has been electrifying the Chicago burlesque community since their 2017 debut. Their extensive dance background and experience tantalizing in clubs create a seductive concoction of silky movement with a playful bite. Sunny has been seen in Jeezy's Juke Joint, has graced the stages of some of Chicago's most beloved venues, and has been featured in shows throughout the Midwest. This "Supernova FEMMEnomenon" is a true wonder of nature bursting from the clouds! ()

Kitty & Greta welcome friends STAGE KITTENS Joona Bae () & Vixen Violencia with SOUND by “DJ Daddy” Alex the Axe!

Joona Bae (he/him) is a bigendered, Korean burlesque performer who was born in Suwon, South Korea. Joona loves to bounce between masculinity and femininity, Korean heritage and American upbringing, and joy and pain through complex stories. Joon will make you go “Ah!” because she is such a Bae. She’s bigendered, bisexual, and by God, is she hot! It's the vanilla unni Joona Bae! ()

From the late night grindhouse screens to a stage near you, Vixen Violencia (they/she), a hedonistic hellcat will captivate you with tantalizing twirls, hypnotizing hips, and a volatile attitude that will leave you hot, bothered, and begging for more. Welcome to Violencia! ()

Alex the Axe (he/him) is a proud Puerto Rican who loves metal, comic books, and making sweet tune-age with his collection of guitars. He has been living in the diaspora for over a decade and is always on the hunt for friends who want to make music with him. When he isn’t reading about world history, punk, and politics, frying up some tasty tostones, or spinning records, you can find him slinging caffeine bevvies to the masses… ()
