Let yourself be drawn into an evening of laughter at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura which, for the series Lunedì al Cinema, on April 27 will screen the comedy by Sydney Sibilia “Smetto quando voglio” (2014).

Pietro Zinni is thirty-seven years old, he is a researcher and a genius. But this is not enough. University budget cuts arrive and he is fired. What can a nerd who in life has only ever studied do to survive? The idea is dramatically simple: to put together a criminal gang the likes of which have never been seen before. He recruits the best among his former colleagues, who despite their qualifications now all live on the margins of society, working as a gas station attendant, a dishwasher, a poker player. Macroeconomics, Neurobiology, Anthropology, Classical Literature and Archaeology will prove perfect for climbing the criminal pyramid. Success is immediate and explosive, finally money, power, women and success arrive. The problem will be managing them.

The screenings of “Lunedì al Cinema” are reserved for an adult audience and are in Italian with English subtitles. Free admission, reservation on our website or on Eventbrite.
