Formed in September 2024, at the Royal College of Music, the Pax Quartet comprises of violinists Alice Younger and Lily An, violist Carlotta Vitaloni, and cellist Magdalena Drmac.

The Quartet gave its inaugural performance as part of the RCM Chamber Tuesdays concert series and have since gone on to give concerts across the UK. Recent highlights include several lunchtime recitals at St. Dunstan-in-the-West, Fleet Street, performances in the conducting masterclass as part of the RCM Festival of Conducting 2026, and collaborations with the RCM Composition Faculty. Having worked on a wide-ranging repertoire, from earlier classical works to Gershwin arrangements and works by the Danish String Quartet, the group has received coaching from many notable chamber musicians, including Richard Harwood, Yuri Zhislin, Jiafeng Chen, and members of the Piatti Quartet. In addition, the Quartet have been very lucky to have been selected to receive regular mentoring and masterclasses from the Marmen Quartet as part of the RCM String Quartet Platform and performed Mozart’s String Quartet No.19 K.465 ‘Dissonance’ side-by-side with the Marmen in October 2025. The Quartet is delighted to return as the quartet in residence at The Eastbourne International Singing Competition 2026.
