Money can be overwhelming, and for many women, it can also feel deeply personal, stressful, or isolating. The Financial Empowerment Series was created to change that experience.Developed in response to community feedback and rooted in YWCA Mankato’s commitment to equity and empowerment, this series offers women a welcoming, judgment-free space to build financial knowledge, confidence, and clarity.
This multi-session series is designed to support women at all stages of their financial journey. We will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from Feb - June.
Whether you’re just beginning to take a closer look at your finances or looking for new tools and perspectives, you are welcome here.
Together, we will:
Build a stronger understanding of personal finances
Explore practical tools that can be applied in real life
Reflect on our relationship with money and how it’s shaped
Acknowledge systemic barriers while focusing on what is within our control
Learn alongside others in a supportive, community-centered environment
We’ll use Financial Feminist by Tori Dunlap as a shared resource to guide discussion and reflection, but the heart of this series is the collective experience, learning from facilitators and from one another.
This series is about empowerment, not judgment.
It’s about access, not perfection.
And it’s about supporting women as they define what financial success looks like for them.
You don’t need to have it all figured out, just a willingness to show up.
