Lumonics Immersed: A Multi-Sensory Total Art ExperienceAbout this Event

As Lumonics enters its 56th year as one of the first and longest-running light art projects in the US, we are posting archival quotes from over the years. Here is one when Lumonics was in South Florida before relocating to Denver:
“Difficult to describe, beautiful and unusual, Lumonics is hard to compare or judge, comprehend even, because it has no peers. It is different, something unto itself, and not entirely of this world. That, in an eggshell, is what people are saying about Lumonics. I say “in an eggshell” because your experience at Lumonics likely will shatter any conceptions you might have, either from what your friends have told you, or what you might read here. Your own experience will be unique.”
– Ken Plutnicki, The Miami Herald, “Light Show a Theatre of the Mind,” 1989
"Art should be something that liberates your soul, provokes the imagination, and encourages people to go further.”
– Keith Haring
Imagine stepping into a world where light sculptures, video art projection, and music converge to relax your body and engage your mind and emotions. Each performance is new and orchestrated live.
You may have seen some of the Lumonics light art at Meow Wolf Denver, McNichols Civic Center Building, DIA, the Museum of Outdoor Arts, Fiddler's Green, Understudy Gallery, +. We now welcome you to the source where over 75 light sculptures are on display, and part of the immersive experience presented on Saturday.
"Lumonics is such an incredible collection. They are part of the Crown Jewels of Denver."
- Justin Stucey, Walt Disney Imagineering
"We present the most up-to-date form of the Lumonics multi-sensory expression that originated in 1969. Our intent is to expand the boundaries of sensory engagement and artistic expression, and honor the late Dorothy and Mel Tanner’s contribution to light art and the immersive experience."
– Marc Billard / Barry Raphael
“Nestled in a warehouse in Denver is one of the most unique artistic experiences I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing. By day, the building is home to the Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery — a space that serves as a permanent art installation for the futuristic light sculpture of artists Dorothy and Mel Tanner. But on Saturdays, the gallery hosts Lumonics Immersed, a mesmerizing and exciting series of live performances."
– Toni Tresca, OnStage Colorado
“This is a unique experience not to be missed, truly the highlight of our trip to Denver.” - Bridget B.
