Luminaries: The Big Swing, Baseball in Downtown

In collaboration with the San Antonio Report, on Friday, May 8, 2026, TPR hosts a Luminaries breakfast event about bringing baseball to the city center. On the west side of downtown, the center of the phased-in project, estimated at a combined $1 billion, is a new ballpark for the San Antonio Missions, followed by private development projects to include a hotel, as well as residential and mixed-use developments.
Two architects of the vision, Hope Andrade and Randy Smith, will join Ashley Alvarado, TPR CEO and president, for this special event sharing details of the plan and the project’s potential value to the San Antonio economy and quality of life.
