About this Event

Toronto's Weekly Global Afterparty!

Every Friday night at 11 PM, Lula elevates the party to the next level!

Following our weekly live Latin band, Lula now features local and international bands and DJs playing high-energy global beats to keep the dance floor moving late into the night.

LULAWORLD X KUMBIONIK

This is not a regular party. No recycled sets. No safe sounds.

Kumbionik brings experimental cumbia, heavy bass, and raw electronics into one space — built for the dancefloor, no filler. Every hit, loop, and frequency lands harder.

From the Latin American underground to the city’s core, this night is for those seeking intensity, dance, and controlled chaos.

A night where everything hits harder.

ALIKA

Alika is a key artist in Spanish-language reggae and dancehall. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and musically developed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she has established herself as one of the most respected voices in Latin America’s sound system culture.

From the beginning, she has worked independently, building her own path based on self-management, artistic integrity, and a message of social and spiritual awareness. Her music blends reggae roots and dancehall with a distinctly Latin American identity.

Throughout her career, she has performed across the Americas and Europe, standing out for her live format rooted in sound system culture.

At Kumbionik, she presents a different side: a special set alongside Angel Zepeda, where her sound crosses into experimental cumbia and electronic textures. An evolution that connects roots with the future without losing its essence.

XOLO

Xolo is a cultural project born from the collaborative vision of Aldo Camarena and Ashley McKay. Aldo, originally from Mexico, and Ashley, a Canadian chef, joined forces to build Xolo as a space where urban Latin‑American cuisine meets curated musical selections, offering experiences that blend flavor, rhythm, and community.

As a pop‑up concept, Xolo combined dishes influenced by Chicano and Latin American culture with thoughtful musical curation, bringing a fresh, authentic vibe to Toronto’s cultural landscape. Their presence at local events and the way they blended food and sound helped establish Xolo as an innovative creative force in the city.

Over time, this momentum evolved into a permanent restaurant called Antylia, a space dedicated to exploring the flavors of the Americas and strengthening the cultural ties of community. The story of Xolo reflects boundless creativity, shared identity, and the impact of Latin‑American culture in Toronto.

ESCOBUTT

Colombian-born and Toronto-based, Escobutt is a DJ, producer and promoter who dismantles genres to rebuild the dance. Her arsenal moves through electronic cumbia, neo-guaracha, dembow, raptor house, reggaetón and jungle, always from a queer and conceptual perspective.

Founder of Lewdline, a series amplifying QTBIPOC+ artists, and creator of the album ID-ASS (2024), a work that breaks binaries and remixes Latin rhythms with glitch-hop, hyperpop and downtempo.

She has played Boiler Room Toronto, N10AS Montréal and Shift Radio, and collaborated with networks like Kumbia Net, Club Felinas and Santa Sede. For Kumbionik she brings cyber-sonidero fire: conceptual cumbia and queer groove opening new logics of the Latin ritual.

JUANITO

From Toronto, Juani Juani Juani (Juanito) lights up the floor with street cumbia and tropical edits breathing barrio and fiesta. His Instagram is a living archive of cumbia vibes, spontaneous reels and sessions for dancing while cooking or showering.

He collaborated with Escobutt on the track “Baddiewock”, a badass fusion of sonidero cumbia and urban energy. As part of projects like Pequephone, his style merges homemade spontaneity with club fire.

For Kumbionik, Juanito brings a set loaded with street edits, nocturnal beats and tropical vibes: more than music, it’s heritage in motion.
