A little about the comedians...
MONICA NEVI is a native of Washington State, having grown up about 20 minutes south of Seattle, in the glory of Renton, Washington. A collegiate basketball player, after injuries ended her career she decided to move forward with the other thing people love for women to do and pursue her strong interest in stand-up comedy. Years later, Monica is an internationally touring standup comedian, performing in festivals, clubs and colleges all over. She created, produced and hosts the documentary series called ‘80 For 80.’ She has been seen on FOX’s Laughs TV Show as well as in sketches on ESPN’s Sports Center. Monica’s debut standup album Mostly Finger Guns was #1 on the comedy charts followed a month later by her #1 comedic guided meditation album Chill. You can also find her weekly podcast “Dumb Pitches” on the Helium Podcast Network. She just recently filmed her first comedy special in Philadelphia, set to be released later in 2022.
DAN HURWITZ is a disabled, Black, and Jewish writer, comedian, and filmmaker. Dan was a semifinalist in the 2023 Seattle International Comedy Competition, and was chosen as one of the "Best of Fest" in both the Burbank Comedy Festival and Jersey City Comedy Festival. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Dan co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in “This Is Spinal Injury” (2021), a mockumentary about the trials of disabled artists during quarantine, which premiered at Northwest Film Forum’s Local Sightings Film Festival in September, 2021. Dan co-produced the region's first ever disability-focused comedy festival--The Disabled List Comedy Festival--in January 2023.
LUKE SEVEREID is a hill hiking, metal music loving stand-up comedian based out of Seattle Washington. A PNW native with over a decade of experience yelling jokes all across the U.S. and Canada. Luke’s comedic style has been described as insightfully idiotic, aggressively absurd and most accurately, unmedicated ADHD in action.
He was recently in the Big Sky Comedy Festival, a semi finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition AND the Seattle Internatinoal Comedy Competition, a winner of Best Comedy Film at HUMPFEST and with millions of views online he’s guaranteed to get your brain some dopamine whether it wants to release it or not.
