Where the Heart Roams is a pastoral-themed album and recital programme exploring ideas of home, roots, memory, and belonging. The programme weaves together British and Irish art song by composers including Ina Boyle, Rebecca Clarke, Muriel Herbert, and Ralph Vaughan Williams, alongside Lucy's own original works, positioning her as both soprano and composer within this musical lineage. Recorded with , the album reflects a dialogue between tradition and personal voice, moving from landscape-inspired reflection to more intimate, autobiographical moments, and concluding with a sense of warmth, companionship, and connection.


The album will be released on CD and via streaming services on the day of the recital, 16 April, and copies of the CD will be available for purchase and signing on the night.

Lucy Farrimond — Soprano / Composer

is a British lyric soprano who has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall, St John's Smith Square, and Snape Maltings, and has appeared on BBC Radio and Television. At 21, she made her BBC Proms solo debut in Haydn's The Creation with the BBC Philharmonic. Originally from the North West of England, she studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. Recognised as a "rising star soprano", Lucy is developing international recital, oratorio, and operatic work alongside her debut album, 'Where The Heart Roams' (April 2026). She is represented by Connaught Artists.


Jack Redman — Pianist

Jack Redman is a British pianist, accompanist, repetiteur, and composer based in London. He completed a master's in piano accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied with Michael Dussek and James Baillieu. He has participated in the Oxford Lieder Young Artist Programme and performed at venues including Wigmore Hall. Jack regularly works as an operatic repetiteur, having covered productions such as Werther for Lyric Opera Ireland and Carmen, and appears widely as a collaborative pianist in recital and song programmes. In addition to his performance work, his compositions have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3.


Furness Festival Strings

The Furness Festival Strings is a dynamic UK-based ensemble comprising recent conservatoire graduates and emerging professional musicians. The group is known for its expressive performances across a broad repertoire, from classical masterworks to contemporary music, and for its engaging presence in concert series and festival settings. Drawing on strong solo and chamber music backgrounds, the group brings clarity, warmth, and ensemble unity to its performances.
