Your Clothes Hold a Story, let’s Share It! Join our free mending workshop this Saturday 18.10.2025 at 12.30-3PM at Musiikkitalo, Helsinki, in collaboration with the Sierra Leone Cultural ExpoBring your beloved clothes and share your story! “Love Story of Our Clothes - vaatteidemme rakkaustarina” is a collaborative community project on memories, repair and human connection. We care for our clothes, people and the planet.
How it works:
1. “Kahvia ja pullaa” We meet, chat and enjoy.
2. We listen to each other’s stories and mend the clothes you bring.
3. Let us capture the story of your clothes on video and photo.
Remember to bring your beloved clothes!
The workshops take place in different locations around Helsinki:
❤️🩹 October 18th, 2025, at 12.30-15.30 with Sierra Leone Cultural Expo at Musiikkitalo
❤️🩹 November 24th, 2025, at 5-8 PM with Circular Monday at Dome Upcycling, Itis shopping center
❤️🩹 January 10th, 2025, at 1-4 PM at the German senior residence in Munkkiniemi

We empower seniors from diverse cultural backgrounds in Helsinki through uplifting, multilingual storytelling, ensuring they are seen and heard.

- We promote circular fashion by encouraging emotional connection to clothing and practical ways to extend its life.
- We build community through meaningful connections across ages and backgrounds.
- We teach hands-on skills like visible mending, repair, and upcycling to both young and old.
