Love Albany Center — 1 Year CelebrationMay 17, 10:00am - 12:30pm.
One year ago, the Love Albany Center opened its doors for its first public event. It was an unforgettable moment. People stepped into a building that had no working bathrooms and no working lights (in one wing), but it had new roofs, no mold, and a whole lot of potential.
Now, one year later, we gather on May 17 to celebrate all that God has done and to look ahead to what’s next.
Since May 18, 2025, the building has undergone incredible transformation while becoming a hub for the community:
- Over 77 groups hosted
- More than 400 community-focused events
This space is coming to life as a place of connection, restoration, and love for our city, and we are just getting started.
Join us from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM to:
- Tour the space and see the progress firsthand.
- Hear from community partners using the building.
- Celebrate stories of impact.
- Learn about upcoming plans and fundraising efforts, including key accessibility projects to make the space truly welcoming to all
Schedule
10:00 AM – Arrive early to park and tour the building
Food available in the café area (including gluten-free and vegan options), prepared by the Albany High Culinary Department
10:30 AM – Main presentation in the auditorium
Featuring vision for the space, stories from partners, and a time of celebration through song and blessing
CCKIDS will be open for children from birth through 5th grade. Check-in is located at the back of the main auditorium.
Kids will begin the morning with their families during the cafe time, welcome, and opening song. After a short video, children will be dismissed with their teachers to age-appropriate classrooms for the remainder of the program.
After the presentation – Continue touring, dreaming, and connecting with new and old friends
