ረብሻ (Rebsha) is the Ethio-ambient duo created by Feven Kidane and Nebyu Yohannes. Kidane and Yohannes fuse their background in ambient and Black American Music with their East African heritage, generating a sonic landscape stretching from sub-Saharan Africa to the Pacific Northwest. With Kidane on bass and synth and Yohannes on guitar, the pair blend acoustic and electronic textures to score the ancestral sentiments of “tizita” and the duo’s namesake, Rebsha.reb·sha:nounnoise, riot, disturbance.
Joe Williamson comes from North Burnaby. He moved to Europe in 1992.He has lived in Amsterdam, Berlin, London and since 2008 has lived in Stockholm.He has played with amongst others Tristan Honsinger, Tony Wilson, Paul Lovens, Han Bennink and Peggy Lee.Current projects include Receptacles, Trapist, Ståhls Trio and Let the Monkeys Dance.Zombie is a collection of songs written and recorded in 2025.
LOST DOG SUNDAYS is a monthly music series curated by Cole Schmidt and Kevin Romain and presented by Barking Sphinx, taking place on stolen Coast Salish land.
