Nina, hardened by her mother’s addiction and her father’s prolonged absence, has turned to the streets for survival and built walls of mistrust that deflect Kenyatta’s grand rhetoric on revolution and his desperate yearning for connection. Through their fraught, high-stakes exchanges, Morisseau exposes the collision of personal and political revolutions, challenging audiences to consider whether love and redemption can rise from years of betrayal and survival instincts.
