Meet at 10:50am for an 11am start outside the National Portrait Gallery entrance. We will finish around 1:30pm with a break for coffee. Lunch in a nearby restaurant.
In celebration of the relatively recent re-opening of the NPG and the succes of our last NPG walk, Tina will take the group through her favourite works from the collection. Tina worked as a consultant for the NPG on their National Skills Sharing Partnership programme co-creating a series of seminars and films with 12 other UK museums, she will take you through a specially curated path of the most enchanting portraits. The walk will cover a range of works from Mai (Omai) by Joshua Reynolds 1776, The Brontë Sisters by Patrick Branwell Brontë 1834, Self-portrait in Single-breasted Suit with Hare by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Sam Taylor-Wood) 2014, 'Self' by Mark Quinn 2006, Malala Yousafzai by Shirin Neshat 2018 and Work in Progress by Jann Haworth and Liberty Blake 2021-22.
