About this Event
Encouraging active travel has always been important to us at Camden Clean Air and the Camden Clean Air Cycle Ride was originally created to encourage cycling and celebrate the beautiful sites of Camden. As we become London Clean Air, this event will become bigger and better, and will go though the other boroughs we have started working with, ie Westminster and Islington.
Join us on Saturday 29th of June, 2024 for a friendly, non-competitive bike ride that starts and finishes at Granary Square and goes past some of the most iconic sights in the capital. Tickets will go on sale soon.
The Route
The 22+ km route is almost finalised, and will take riders through Hampstead Heath, Belsize Park, Primrose Hill, Regent’s Park, Marylebone, Fitzrovia, the Regent’s Canal, Barnsbury, Dartmouth Park and many other beautiful places in London. This will be our biggest event yet.
More Information
To ensure everyone can take part we are providing free children’s bikes, codes for the free use of a HumanForest e-bike (adults only), and free tickets to anyone who is in receipt of benefits. We have also partnered with Camden Council, who offer a wide range of courses to learn how to ride a bicycle from scratch, or simply how to become more confident.
We have partnered with many coffee shops and pubs along the way. These will be signposted, so that riders can stop for refreshments, if they wish. There will also be prizes to win for challenges such as “Spot the Landmark” or “Best Dressed in Blue”.
Get Involved
We could not deliver the London Clean Air Cycle Ride without the help from our amazing volunteers. We are looking for two types of volunteers:
1. Riding Marshals to lead riders around the route on bike
2. Standing Marshals to point riders in the right direction along the route
Please email Valeria at [email protected] to sign-up as a volunteer.
