About this Event
Local Historian Liz Gillis will discuss the lives of the four men, Con Colbert, Eamonn Ceannt, Sean Heuston and Michael Mallin, who were executed in Kilmainham Gaol for their part in the 1916 Easter Rising on 8th May 1916. All of these men had a connection to the Dublin 8 area, and each has been remembered there in their own way. The talk will take place in Richmond Barracks, the site of the 1916 court-martials and in the shadow of their place of execution - Kilmainham Gaol.
