About this Event
What's on your guilty pleasures playlist? The Canadian Chamber Orchestra asked that question to its musicians and audiences, and built a concert around the answers.
LRLP III brings the CCO's signature intimate format back to Eglinton St. George's United Church for an evening of music that's equal parts surprising, joyful, and seriously played. Expect new string arrangements of beloved music (too beloved??), delivered in a living-room atmosphere where the musicians introduce each piece from the stage and the audience is close enough to feel every note.
The program draws on anonymous nominations from CCO musicians and a public survey, shaped into a playlist that spans genres, eras, and a healthy range of musical guilty consciences. New arrangements were created specifically for this concert by composer Chris Thornburrow, CCO musician Laurence Schaufele, and Co-Executive Directors Andrew Ascenzo and Drew Comstock.
Admission is by donation -- bring 2lbs of non-perishable food items for the Eglinton St. George's Food Pantry, or a monetary donation at the door. All are welcome.
The Canadian Chamber Orchestra is a Toronto-based ensemble committed to building a new kind of classical music culture -- intimate, accessible, and community-rooted.
