At the beginning of November, we lost a dear friend to many—someone who was a true pioneer in merging together many different creative aspects of our music community. Kyle was, in a way, the PNW electronic music scene’s “Kevin Bacon.” He connected numerous people who probably would never have crossed paths if it weren’t for him.Many of his event posts over the decades began with a poem he wrote, so I thought it was appropriate to include one of his many poems and add a little touch. (This poem was from a Lupercalia event post he sent out on 1/17/17.)

I hope you are well
On this beautiful day.
Politics excluded,
Liquid sunshine included.
Because we're making some moves,
And making them soon.
A celebration of life is upon us
To help illuminate this gloom.
Our LiveNLove heroes on the decks,
Each track with a heartbeat.
Torchbearers of his spirit,
Carrying all the LiveNLoveLifeLived.
It’s all coming up,
On December 4th, no hesitation
So take up the gift,
And rise in his celebration

Kyle had so many friends—some who could make it to the family memorial a few weeks ago, and some who couldn’t. This gathering is for everyone who knew and loved him. Leave your drama at the door and come celebrate his life with us. Bring a story, a photo, a memory, or just yourself—we’ll share laughter, tears, and hugs as we honor him together.
