Live@LOT: DERLEI // SCHMELZE

DELREI is the musical project of guitarist Alessandro Mercanzin (Universal Sex Arena, La Tempesta). The debut album, Desolation and Radiation, was released in July 2023 on the Portland-based label Projekt Records, which is historically active in the ambient and new wave/dark wave scenes.

The record was produced by Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher, Messa, Nuovo Testamento, etc.). It received widespread critical acclaim both in Italy and abroad, establishing itself as a distinctive work within its genre. The band’s sound blends dark ambient and desert bluesinfluences with cinematic elements. Key inspirations include the iconic soundtracks of Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone, as well as the mysterious atmospheres of directors such as David Lynch, Quentin Tarantino, and John Carpenter.

A DELREI concert is an immersive experience that takes the listener on a psychedelische and dystopian journey. This is achieved through an interplay of unconventional sounds that create a futuristic and captivating sonic landscapes.
