"Heiling from the vibrant city of Miami, florida, Swivvel is an electrifying collective of friends converging for an exhilarating musical journey. Our sound has been characterized by shimmering guitars with big chords, pulsating basslines, and a thunderous beat. Riding on this wave of melodrama, Swivvel layers dramatic synths with a hopeful tone born from the bittersweet melancholy that resonates with Miami's spirit. We are no novices to creating and performing music! We hope that if you're reading this, you'll welcome us into your hearts.”

"Palomino Blond is an independent rock trio from Miami, comprising Carli Acosta (guitar/lead vocals - they/them), Emma Arevalo (drums/vocals - she/they), and Peter Allen (guitar - he/him). They release their sophomore album You Feel It Too on October 4, 2024, via Kanine Records (home to acts like Surfer Blood and Blushing). This album channels ‘90s alt-rock with subtle nods to their Miami roots.
Rising from the DIY house-show circuit to regional acclaim, Palomino Blond’s sound melds grunge, shoegaze, and dream pop. Though influenced by ‘90s alt-rock, their music reinvents the genre with a modern edge, capturing Kanine Records’ attention. Lio Kanine notes, “Their guitars are strongly connected to ‘90s alt-rock. Many bands try to bring it back but don’t do it well—Palomino Blond nails it.”
The current lineup formed during 2020’s lockdown, with Carli and Emma as cousins, and Peter, a longtime Miami musician. Raised in families of Latin hip-hop and visual artists, they grew up immersed in diverse sounds. Carli found community in Miami's DIY scene, a welcoming space born from Florida's isolated tour circuit.
You Feel It Too reflects the band’s evolution, with lyrics exploring relationships, isolation, and self-reflection. Carli says, “We wanted the heavy songs heavier and the quiet songs quieter.” The 11-track album also integrates synths and Miami bass-inspired samples in tracks like “It Kills Me” and “Machine.” Produced by Palomino Blond with Ryan Haft, Jonathan Nuñez, and mastered by Dan Coutant, You Feel It Too is an immersive dive into rich, emotive rock."
