On 10 October, Live at Our Place invites you into a world where classical meets cinematic, and tradition gives way to play. Two genre-blending pianists, Ischico and Seán Morgan-Rooney, take the stage for a night of emotional resonance, visual storytelling, and sonic experimentation, followed by a DJ set to keep the energy flowing.
Expect impressionist soundscapes, improvised textures, and a journey that moves from quiet reflection to vibrant rhythm, all unfolding in an atmosphere that’s as welcoming as it is unexpected.

ISCHICO
Ischico brings the world of her debut album Kleurstof to life in this solo set - a mix of own compositions, improvisations, and new pieces shaped by the same inspiration: daily life in all its colours. Her music is rooted in classical tradition but moves freely through jazz, folk, and everything in between.
Each piece is a snapshot - of a conversation with a friend, a late train ride, or a walk through the Highlands. Together, they form a kind of musical diary: sometimes planned, sometimes spontaneous, always personal.
Ischico paints with sound much like others do with colour - layering memories, moods and moments until something new appears.

SEÁN MORGAN-ROONEY
Irish pianist SeánMorgan-Rooney combines the music of French composer Maurice Ravel with originalelectronic music and film. Ravel’s Miroirs suite - 5 pieces depcicting variousimages of nature - is interspersed with the performer’s own compositions inspiredby the Irish nature in which he grew up. In collaboration with cinematographerBoris Peters, the performer has created original films to accompany the music,taking inspiration from the 1975 film “Mirror” by Soviet director AndreiTarkovsky.
