About this Event
REGISTRATION AVAILABLE MAY 5TH
Chicago for Chicagoans is delighted to bring back our two-hour walk through the busy and beautiful streets of Lincoln Park with longtime resident Olivia Sobieraj! Olivia is a marketing professional and enthusiastic local history lover who is thrilled to be sharing the stories of her home neighborhood with fellow Chicagoans.
Beginning at the Children's Fountain, the tour will cover the history, architecture, and landmarks of this notable community. Learn about its early days as the city cemetery, see lavish Victorian architecture and vintage park structures, and discuss the gentrification struggles of midcentury and modern residents alike. The afternoon will end at Yoberri Gourmet, where participants are encouraged to enjoy a tasty treat with the group!
