About this Event
Limited Palette Landscape + Architecture Workshop
Join us for a fun, hands-on in-person workshop where you'll explore the magic of a limited color palette to create stunning landscapes and architectural scenes. Perfect for artists wanting to simplify their color choices and boost creativity. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this workshop is all about learning, experimenting, and having a great time capturing the beauty around us!
In this 3-week workshop (April 11, 18 & 25), we’ll combine the beauty of landscape painting with the strength of architectural structure—using a limited palette to build confident values, believable light, and a cohesive mood.
Students may choose any architectural landscape reference they love, from ancient ruins and weathered stone to modern buildings, streetscapes, bridges, and interiors/exteriors. Whether you’re drawn to history and patina or clean modern lines, you’ll learn how to simplify complex scenes into a clear, paintable plan.
The limited palette streamlines color decisions and strengthens harmony—so you can focus on what creates impact: drawing, perspective, value organization, edges, and atmosphere. Each class includes demonstration, guided work time, and personalized feedback to help you move your painting forward with clarity.
