About this Event
Pool Party is about how friendship does and doesn’t live up to its idealizations. It features material from the television show BoJack Horseman, recent in-depth interviews conducted by the artist, original animations, and some thoughts on swimming pools.
Lily Scherlis’s writing has been published in Cabinet, Post45 Contemporaries, Avidly, Harvard Review, and Jacket2, and is forthcoming in Guernica. Her work has been shown at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts and featured in programming at the Smart Museum of Art. She is a PhD student in English and Theater & Performance Studies at the University of Chicago.
