About this Event

Join bestselling writer Lily King as she discusses her witty and sensitive new novel, Heart the Lover. In conversation with novelist Claire Cameron (How to Survive a Bear Attack), King will invite the audience into the process of crafting complex characters, whose vitality leaps off the page and into our hearts.

With a connective thread to her acclaimed novel Writers & Lovers, King's new work, Heart the Lover, centres upon an unexpected love triangle. When the narrator, Jordan, meets two fellow students in her senior year of college, she's invited into an intoxicating world of intellectual discussion and razor-sharp wit. But as graduation approaches, Jordan will make decisions that change their lives forever. Now, years later, a surprise visit revives these buried memories, forcing a reckoning with the unresolved events of her past. This magnificent, tightly woven novel confirms King's reputation as one of today's major artists.
