Joe Maxi:
Joe Maxi is an experimental, alternative rock band from Dublin, Ireland, known for their high-energy sound that seamlessly blends elements of punk, grunge, post-punk, and experimental rock. With their unique musical approach, the band has made a strong mark in the Irish and UK music scenes, gaining widespread recognition for their fearless, chaotic style and captivating live performances.
Joe Maxi’s debut EP The Game was met with glowing reviews, with Click Roll Boom calling them "Dublin's 'New-age answer to Pixies,'" and praising their "riotous bombardment of whipping punk energy." Their raw intensity, described by Hot Press as a "delightful explosion of heavy guitars," is a hallmark of their sound. BBC Introducing NI, hosted by Gemma Bradley, played an instrumental role in developing the bands Belfast fanbase giving their track "The Game" an exclusive debut. Gemma Bradley's support on BBC Introducing NI helped the band reach new heights and expand their audience.
Their single "Butterfly" has been widely praised for its "chaotic and fearless exploration of contemporary experimental music," according to Headbanger HQ. The track also received airplay on BBC Introducing NI, which helped push their unique sound further into the mainstream. Additionally, their music has been featured on RTÉ 2XM , FM 104, Today FM, KCLR 96FM, John Barkers TILT and Queens Radio Belfast, where they’ve earned a strong following.
Mount Pyrus:
Mount Pyrus is a joint project between Dublin musicians Finn Smyth & Mabel Thew established in August of 2025.With the live band consisting of Sid Edge (bass) ,Kilian Prince( lead synth) & Teige Powell (drums)
Combining elements from retro pop & indie jazz, the band aspires to create a unique blend of genres. Inspired by artists such as Mild High Club, Crumb & Men I Trust.
Their live sound consists of soft vocals, warm keys, retro synth lines as well as driving drums & smooth bass, carving a niche sound within the Dublin music scene.
imBau:
imBau are a shoegaze/noise rock band from Dundalk. Taking inspiration from bands like Just Mustard, The Altered Hours and Gilla Band, imBau seek to blend dreamy soundscapes with harsh abrasive textures to create a unique atmosphere.
Taiyō:
Taiyō is a Dublin based psychedelic rock band consisting of songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Micheál Carney, guitarist and keys player Fionn O’Sullivan, bassist and keys player Byron Warren and drummer Dominic Butterfield.
The band formed in 2021 and having played in some of the country’s most prestigious venues, they have developed a name for themselves in Ireland’s emerging music scene.
