2-day Experiential Workshop Training in Group Facilitation and Community Building using the Arts
“Imagine leading groups infused with participation and excitement, where people take creative risks and connect from the heart. Imagine programmes, classrooms, and workshops where students are eager to learn, brimming with energy and enthusiasm. Picture yourself feeling creative and grounded in your work, enjoying yourself to the fullest...”
LIFEbeat's weekend workshop combines a deep understanding of group process with a keen awareness of the role that creative expression plays in bringing individuals and groups alive:
- explore your relationship to your own creativity
- learn how to build safe learning environments
- learn arts-based activities that enliven learning and build group trust
- explore ways to weave a variety of art forms into a programme
- have lots of fun!
Our work is based on the belief that everyone is creative and that you don’t have to be a professional artist to use creative practice to powerful effect in your work.
LIFEbeat’s Creative Practice Training is an excellent CPD opportunity for teachers, youth workers, therapists, social artists, workshop facilitators... and is open to adults of all ages.
You will gain skills and insight into the practice of group facilitation and walk away with a toolbox of easy-to-lead activities.
TESTIMONIES:
“I was able to use the lessons I learned directly in my classroom on my return. It was great: the children responded brilliantly to the exercises and, delightfully for me, my class that day happened to be assessed and was rated Outstanding.”
Teacher, London
“The training was filled with two days of activities that helped a group of fantastic individuals including myself tap into they own creativity. The workshop was uplifting and left me with lots of refreshing ideas.”
