Life Giver: Nurture like Fire
Join us for a powerful conversation with a panel of California Natives, sharing their experiences as mothers and femmes who are expanding what it means to be fire tenders and land stewards.
Indigenous people across the world have shown time and time again the importance of tending fire in a good way, whether that is through ceremonial fires or managing brush and wildfires. In so many places where ancestral knowledge is maintained, California Natives hold ways of land stewardship through cultural burning. Gather with us for a day of food and learning about the intersections of Femmes, Indigiqueers, and fire.

We take COVID safety seriously for the elders and immunocompromised in our community. Masks will be provided and required while not eating. We will do our best to have a separate eating space, and a well ventilated-room.

Street parking is difficult but not impossible and FREE on Sundays!

Our current theme responds to ecological and societal wildfires. Fire allows us to imagine what needs to be ignited, cleansed, and turned into ashes.
