POWER INHERITANCE & INTEGRATION
LIVE LAB: Saturday, March 28 | 11A–1P
Leaders explore how power is inherited, assigned and internalized across personal, cultural and organizational lineages. Working at the eco-social level, the intersection of climate and culture, leaders examine how environments and social systems shape leadership behavior and collective decision making. This session builds awareness of power patterns while cultivating grounded, accountable leadership.
This course is part of the Part of the Liberation Lab™ coursework.
Liberation Lab™ is a learning and practice space for organizers, culture workers and community-rooted leaders committed to cultivating non-extractive leadership and regenerative social systems. It exists at the intersection of governance, ecology, culture and collective power. This coursework establishes the structural conditions required for ethical leadership: shared decision-making, accountable governance and systems aligned with human and ecological capacity.
Many participants arrive to this coursework carrying responsibility for people, programs and institutions that were never designed to be sustainable. They are often visionary, deeply committed and trusted by their communities yet working within systems shaped by scarcity, hierarchy and burnout.
Liberation Lab™ is part of the MINDFULRANT Academy™, a learning ecosystem rooted in non-extractive leadership, relational intelligence and sustainable eco-social systems. The Academy and this coursework exist because personal integrity, organizational health and collective liberation cannot be separated.
This work is practiced in community and participants are supported to integrate learning into real governance contexts, leadership roles and institutional responsibilities. Whether you arrive for a single class or remain engaged across seasons, you are entering a living practice space.
Liberation Lab™ is grounded in culturally responsive practice, ecological literacy, and collective accountability. It honors lived experience, ancestral governance traditions and community wisdom alongside professional development and systems thinking.
Participants explore how leadership and governance are shaped by colonial legacies, racialized power structures, extractive economies, nonprofit industrial systems and inherited organizational models. Liberation Lab™ situates dysfunction, conflict and instability within larger systems rather than individual failure and supports participants in redesigning how decisions, resources and responsibility circulate.
DROP-IN & MULTI-CLASS OPTIONS
All Liberation Lab™ and all MINDFULRANT Academy classes are designed to stand alone. You are welcome to attend a single session, return occasionally or move through the full pathway to stewardship and facilitation certification. For those who choose deeper engagement, the pathway offers a coherent learning arc that builds governance fluency, collective leadership capacity and long-term institutional sustainability over time. Participants often discover that what begins as one class becomes a longer relationship with the Academy and its community of practice. The Liberation Lab course and all Academy pathways offer 3 full semesters of rigor (semester = 12 weeks).
THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU:
• organizers and movement leaders
• nonprofit and community executives
• cooperative and collective members
• cultural workers and educators
• faith and civic leaders
• institution builders and stewards
• anyone responsible for shared systems and collective resources
Academy™ is a seasonal learning ecosystem founded by Toni Anderson to support individuals and organizations in cultivating non-extractive leadership and regenerative culture. Space Share Lab serves as the physical and relational hub for this work, hosting learning, practice and community-building across pathways. Academy offers an integrated approach to personal, professional and collective transformation.
