To kick off 2025 right, Double Trouble brings you a carnival of madness. Clowns on a rampage, mongoloid men-children, teens being murdered and all the popcorn, cotton candy and blood you can consume. *Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)
Written, Produced and Directed by the Chiodo brothers. Long time effect artists who've worked on everything from Critters, Ernest Scared Stupid and Team America: World Police. It's exactly what it looks like. Aliens disguised as clowns crash land on Earth in a rural town and K*ll everyone they see. There's a plot and characters sure. But come on. Who cares with a movie like this? You have see it just by the title alone.
*The Funhouse (1981)
Directed by returning Double Trouble alumni Tobe Hooper. A couple of teens (played by people in their 30s) decide to hangout at the local scumbag carnival. It's all fun and games until they choose to sneak into the horror attraction past closing time. It's when they discover a horrific secret it's owner will resort to murder in order to keep secret. A delightfully sleazy and scary entry in the early 80s canon of slasher flicks. Thanks to Hooper's confident direction, a disturbing villain and some inspired use of carnival imagery. The dark side of this show's coin.
