Are you a person who identifies as Queer and yearns for authentic connections, deep conversations, and a safe space to explore your relationship with self and others? Are you seeking conscious Queer community spaces? If so, "Queer Authentic Connection" is the perfect event for you.
This isn't your typical social gathering. Our aim is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can connect authentically with like-minded individuals on a deep and personal level.
Authentic Connection (AC)" is an innovative social framework that encourages us to explore mindfulness in our relationships in the present moment. AC practices require intentional connection, and cultivate playfulness with defined boundaries. This nurturing environment promotes significant and delightful connections with ourselves and others.

Here are just a few of the many benefits of Authentic Connection:
Fostering emotional intelligence
Boosting self and social awareness
Enhancing ability to remain present
Feeling truly seen and heard

In this empowering space, you will embark on a journey to explore what authenticity and connection means to YOU personally. You'll receive thoughtful reflections on how your authenticity impacts the people with whom you connect. True authenticity can't be cultivated in isolation. We need the reflection of others to help us identify our authentic selves. While no one can define what connection and authenticity is for you, we can learn how to better discover and activate it within a supportive community.
Do not worry if you're introverted or unsure how to initiate conversations. We've got you covered! Alex Castro will guide you through carefully crafted prompts that will enable you to connect authentically with one another. These prompts are designed to foster open dialogue, encourage self-expression, and build lasting bonds. You don't have to do the heavy lifting - just bring your authentic self and an open heart!
But that's not all. To conclude the event, we'll immerse ourselves in a soothing sound bowl meditation. This powerful practice helps regulate the nervous system, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and grounded.
Join us at Queer Connections and experience a different kind of social event - one that prioritizes authenticity, deep connection, and self-care. This is your chance to form lasting friendships within a supportive community and leave feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Who is Alex Castro?
Alexandra Castro is a passionate mindfulness coach who values authentic connection, personal growth, and open and safe communication. She believes that we are on this earth to come soul-to-soul and help each other become the most authentic version of ourselves. In addition, she is a firm believer that the quality of our life depends on the quality of our relationships – and most importantly, the ones we have with ourselves.
She serves the queer community, who have been generally underrepresented in the mindfulness space, offering a safe space to heal and connect. Her purpose is to incorporate mindfulness into the LGBTQ community and help individuals live a more fulfilled life by connecting deeply with who they are and enhance their mental wellness through mindfulness and connection.
Alexandra now leads a mindfulness group called LGBTQMindfulness and has started a mindfulness movement in the LGBTQ community. She is able to create different environments where the LGBQT community can authentically connect with one another.
