Let's Walk - Poplar Canal Walk
7.30am - 8.30am Fridays Duration: 1 hour

The walk, run by Canal & River Trust, will be led by volunteer walk leaders who are full of interesting information about the local area.
Please join us for a fun leisurely walk along the canal. You'll learn a lot and meet new people!
This Morning Walking Group is run by a local resident from the community to help start your day right.
What to expect
This is an early morning walk for people in the local area. It’s great to start your day well, talk to some positive people and see the sun come up!
We’ll meet at 7.30am every Friday outside Poplar Bakehouse for a circuit walk. We’ll end up back at E14 Poplar Bakehouse at 8.30 where we’ll grab a coffee together.
There will always be someone from the community to meet you every Friday for a morning walk, or if it’s raining, a warm drink in the cafe.
The walk is accessible. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
The great thing about walking is that you do not need any fancy equipment. However with all the fallen leaves the tow path (even if it is not raining) it can be muddy/slippy so stout shoes are really required (stronger than recommended).

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .
Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.
If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part.
