Let’s gather at this lively winter-friendly market on the edge of Burrard Inlet. The SeaBus ride from Waterfront Station is a cozy way to travel and brings us directly into Lonsdale Quay.
Inside the market, there’s no shortage of sketch inspiration — bundled-up visitors, busy food stalls, produce displays, and strong indoor light. Around midday, the energy picks up.
If weather allows, short outdoor sketching sessions near the waterfront, Polygon Gallery, or Shipyards District are optional before warming up inside again.
The ice skating rink can also be a great sketching subject.
