About this Event
<h4>What is this event?</h4>
This event, hosted by the University of Stirling, aims to help students engage with local employers in a relaxed, informal setting. After a networking preparation session for students, employers will be invited to join for casual conversations. The focus is on helping students practice building business connections rather than job-seeking. This event is part of the university's ongoing efforts to connect students with the local business community, similar to Codebase Stirling's monthly Unfiltered
<h4></h4><h4>Who will be there?</h4>
Employers from the local community, alongside postgraduate and undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines including business analytics, data science, digital media, marketing, PR, software development, environmental science, psychology, and more. Many postgraduate attendees will be international students looking to connect with local businesses for project work, part-time opportunities, and future career paths.
<h4></h4><h4>Why should you join?</h4>
This event offers a chance for employers to meet talented students in a low-pressure environment, sparking conversations that could lead to future collaborations. It's an opportunity to get involved with the local academic community, foster talent development, and help keep graduates in the Stirling area, boosting the local economy.
Jo Speed (Business Engagement Manager for Student Employability) and Emily Sandwell (Careers Consultant supporting International Students) from the University of Stirling will be available to answer questions about further connections with the University and supporting international students into employment.
Monique Hart (Community Manager) and Callum Stephen (Events & Community Coordinator) from CodeBase Stirling will also be present to answer questions about CodeBase, Techscaler, and what CodeBase can offer both students and employers
