About this Event
What does it look like for communities to own what they build? Let’s Get It… Together is a gathering for people who care about Memphis and want to learn how neighbors can create shared wealth and ownership together. This event brings people into the room to explore how working collectively can turn ideas into businesses that support entire communities, not just one person.
The event focuses on cooperatives, businesses owned and run by the people who use them or work there. You will learn how co-ops work in real life, why they help communities grow stronger over time, and what it takes to get started. You will hear from Memphians running cooperatives and from local funders who support community-led businesses. The conversation also introduces the Co-Op Opportunity for Inclusive Neighborhoods (COIN), a free 20-week program based at Historic Clayborn Temple that helps Memphians turn cooperative ideas into real businesses with access to tools, guidance, and funding.
Let’s Get It… Together is part of In This Place 2026: This is Memphis, a citywide season of culture, community, and capital powered by The Big We, where Memphians gather to connect, learn, and strengthen the city we all call home.
