About this Event
In this fun workshop you will get the opportunity to create you own cartoon characters with the comic legends Tor Freeman and Marc Jackson!
Tor Freeman is an author and illustrator of picture books and comics. She is a regular contributor to magazines including Tralalire, Pomme d'Api and POLLE and has had two ongoing strips in the weekly story comic, The Phoenix. Her comics include Welcome to Oddleigh, Sister Clawdetta: M**der at the Monastery and Boss of the Underworld.
Marc Jackson is a cartoonist from the UK who has created characters and comics for BEANO, the Phoenix, Hey Kids Comics, and is the publisher of GOOF, a new comic for kids! Marc also runs ROOM FOR COMICS (a comic art studio in Macclesfield, Cheshire) with his wife Jane dedicated to the teaching of comics and cartoon art, and they also organise MACC-POW! Macclesfield’s annual comic art festival now in its 10th year!
The workshop will last for approx. 45 minutes, from 11-11:45am.
This event is for children aged 7-14 years old. Children can be left at the workshop, but carers must stay in the building during the workshop.
