Dying Matters Awareness Week 2026

As part of Dying Matters Awareness Week 2026, led by Hospice UK, Gracefully Prepared invites you to a series of gentle, open community conversations across Manchester.

This year’s theme, “Let’s Talk About Death and Dying,” encourages us to create safe spaces for honest conversations around death, dying, grief, and planning ahead.

Talking about death is not always easy, but avoiding the conversation can make things harder for individuals and families later. These workshops are designed to help people feel more comfortable, informed, and supported.

Whether you would like to listen, share, ask questions, or simply be present, you are warmly welcome.

What to Expect

A safe, relaxed, and respectful environment
Open and guided community conversations
No pressure — share only if you feel comfortable
Support around planning ahead and understanding end-of-life conversations
Signposting to local support services and helpful resources
A culturally sensitive and community-focused approach
