About this Event

Join us for the exciting conclusion of our garden transformation series. In Part 1, we came together to design the blueprint for The Foundry’s community garden. Now, it’s time to roll up our sleeves, grab a shovel, and bring those plans to life.

This is a hands-on session where we move from paper to soil. Working side-by-side with your neighbors, we will build the actual garden infrastructure and plant the crops we selected as a community. Whether you were there for the design phase or are just joining us now, your hands are needed to help get this garden growing!

Note: While this follows our "Design" session, attendance at Part 1 is not required. Everyone is welcome to jump in and help build!

What We'll Do Together:

Build the Foundation: A great garden starts with great soil. We will learn the essentials of prepping a growing space, from mixing the perfect soil blend to installing the necessary infrastructure.
Bring the Design to Life: Using the blueprint we co-created in Part 1, we will plant our chosen crops exactly where they need to go to thrive.
Learn by Doing: Have questions about your own plants? This is an interactive session where you can ask questions and get real-time advice on how to improve your gardening output.
Nurture & Grow: Planting is just the beginning. We’ll cover the essential tips for caring for the garden immediately after planting to ensure our hard work pays off.

Who Is This Workshop For?

This is for everyone who aren't afraid to get a little dirt under their fingernails! It is perfect for those who want to learn the practical skills of setting up a garden and for anyone who wants the satisfaction of building something lasting for the community.

You will leave with the physical know-how to start a garden from scratch, muddy hands, and the pride of seeing a finished, planted community space that you helped build.
