Every Thursday from FEB 25 - MAR 25 we will meet near Halyburton Park's education center and enjoy a 30-minute Christian infused nature meditation. Sessions will offer a gentle, loosely guided sensory experience inspired by the evidence-based medical practice of forest bathing with a brief faith-based blessing at the end of each meditation. An optional 30 minute circle of sharing and brown-bag picnic lunch time will follow for those wanting to reflect on their experiences as a group.
These events are FREE, open to the public, and rain or shine. Registration is encouraged to help us prepare for each session, but not required.
Children are welcome and must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian. Please no pets.
Research shows time spent slowly, attentively, and repeatedly in nature helps ease stress, calm the nervous system, lower inflammation, and support emotional and physical well-being. Each session is an invitation to rest, listen, and receive God’s care through the natural world—allowing our bodies, minds, and spirits to be gently restored during the season of Lent.
