About this Event
This is a leisure ride; all are invited. This ride is also a recce ride for anyone attending the London to Amsterdam Ride.
Meet at , from 8:45 am for a 9:00 am cycle briefing. We’re aiming to head out by 9:15 a.m. It’s a 4 to 5-hour bike ride, so we'll include a few rest stops along the way.
Join us for our bimonthly ride to Windsor!
Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, everyone is welcome on this scenic 28-mile journey. We keep things at a relaxed, leisurely pace (10–12 mph) to ensure we can all soak in the views. The route is a mix of quiet parks, cycle paths, and some main roads. There are a few hills along the way, but we always regroup at the top—no one gets left behind! If you aren't up for the full distance, feel free to join us as far as Kingston or Bushy Park. For the return leg, you can either cycle back with the group or catch a quick train from Windsor directly to London.
Our route winds through some of the area's most beautiful spots, including Barnes, Richmond Park, Kingston, and Bushy Park, before heading onward to Shepperton and Windsor. We’ll take our first break at the Bushy Park Cafe—feel free to bring your own snacks or grab a refreshment there. Our main stop is the legendary in Windsor. It’s a favourite among the cycling community, offering plenty of secure bike parking and a fantastic menu ranging from hearty main meals to their famous cakes.

We expect to be back at Brook Green at about 6-7 pm or earlier if you are coming back by train.

Film & Photography Consent
We take pictures during the ride. If you are coming to the ride, you consent to your photographs being used to promote HFC’s aims and work. To opt out please speak to a ride marshal on the day.
As part of our agreed-upon fundraising, we request a donation of £2 or more for this ride. Please bring cash or pay by bank transfer on the day.
Bring locks, lights and carry a spare inner tube or a puncture repair kit. Bring a rain jacket just in case.
