Lego Robotics: Build and Code ExplorersGrades K-2
In this class, we use LEGO Spike Essential kits to help younger kids get comfortable with basic engineering and coding. Each week, we'll build a different model together—like a carnival ride or a motorized animal—and then use our computers to write simple code that makes it move or make sounds.
We keep our classes small (this class is capped at 6 students) so everyone gets the help they need. We provide all the LEGO kits and computers. Please help your child understand that since these are shared kits, we will be taking our creations apart at the end of each class so they’re ready for the next project. It usually helps to take pictures or videos of the project so they can show it off to family members.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch or drop off, whichever makes your child more comfortable. If you have younger siblings with you, we have a small area with toys they are welcome to use while they wait.
When: Fridays, 4:00 PM – 4:50 PM March 13, 20, 27, April 3, 10
or Thursdays, 5:30-6:20 March 12, 19, 26, April 2 and 9
Location: LabSpace Robotics
Tuition: $75 for the 5-week session
