Philharmonic Wind Orchestra presents, as part of the Anita Mui Tribute Festival, a concert of Anita Mui’s greatest hits to mark the 20th anniversary of the passing of the iconic singer, actress, and stage legend.Joining Conductor Dr. Andy Sim and the orchestra on stage for this special pop concert featuring a programme of brand-new arrangements will be Hong Kong-based singer Zita Tse, as well as homegrown talents singer Novabelle Ng, stage actor Timothy Wan, and musicians Bian Tong on dizi and Samuel Phua on saxophone.
The first half of the concert will trace Anita Mui’s career from her early days to pop icon and movie star, with songs she sang such as 风的季节, 烈焰红唇 and 心债, as well as songs from movies she acted in, such as 胭脂扣 and 女人心.
The second half of the concert commemorates Anita Mui’s friendships and the legacy she left behind, featuring songs by Roman Tam, Leslie Cheung, and Danny Chan, as well as iconic songs such as 亲密爱人 and 夕阳之歌.
