Helping you and your firm to understand Menopause
About this Event

Join, Lisa Wright, Founder of Menopause the Wright Way and Leeds Law Society for a discussion on Menopause in the Workplace.
Lisa will provide an overview of the many different aspects of menopause that everyone, whether it be from an employer’s perspective; women who may be peri/menopausal; or anyone who wants to support colleagues, family members or friends who may be struggling, should be aware of.
She will cover:

  • Menopause demographics
  • Defining menopause
  • Why we should care – personally
  • Why we should care – professionally
  • Why organisations should care
  • What organisations can do to be menopause friendly
  • A high-level view of how to manage your menopause
  • How to provide support to friends, family members or colleagues
  • Q&A

There are many different aspects of menopause that Lisa can talk too in much more detail, and we would also like to offer the opportunity for attendees to help shape future menopause sessions that Leeds Law Society may offer with her based upon some of the topics she covers today.
About Lisa:
Lisa spent nearly 20 years as the MD of a data company, part of a global financial information group. She has experience in developing and leading diverse teams in terms of nationality, age and culture. In 2019 Lisa left the corporate world to pursue a MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science, building on a lifelong interest in these areas. For her master’s dissertation she undertook research on the impact of menopausal symptoms on endurance athletes. Whilst carrying out this research she became aware of the significant lack of evidence-based information relating to menopause symptoms and more generally a lack of support for women at this time in their lives both personally and professionally.
This led Lisa to undertake further training into women’s health along with menopause specific training via the International Menopause Society and Newson Health and is a Certified Menopause coach. Lisa established Menopause the Wright Way in 2021, focusing on supporting businesses and individuals through their unique menopause journeys and she provide employers with education and training to supporting them with women’s health initiatives.
