Wish 7 in Action: Connecting Children to Culture Across Leeds
Join us for an interactive workshop exploring how we can work together to make Leeds the best city for children. The session is rooted in the 12 Wishes, shaped by the voices of over 80,000 children and young people across Leeds, and will focus on Wish 7: ensuring children and young people know about the different things to do and places to go in the city, and can enjoy a wide range of cultural experiences - from art and music to sport and film.
While Leeds offers an incredible variety of opportunities for children and young people, we know that not all families are aware of what’s available. With Leeds 400 approaching in 2026 - marking 400 years since the city received its Royal Charter. This is a timely moment to come together and create an inspiring, accessible cultural future for every child.
This workshop will focus on:
- Raising awareness of Wish 7 and the Leeds 400 celebrations
- Identifying ways to work together to ensure arts, culture and activity information reaches all children, young people and families
- Inspiring partners to create a response to Leeds 400
You’ll also hear from partner organisations already making a difference across the city and explore how your business or service can get involved in citywide projects and campaigns. Whether you want to strengthen your community engagement, reach new audiences, or contribute to a child‑friendly cultural future, this session will highlight practical ways to play your part.
The event will be hosted by an ambassador venue in Leeds City Centre and will be shared soon.
We hope you can join us!
