Led Ride - from Midlands Arts Centre

You’re invited to join us for a fun morning discovering Brum by bike. We will explore our local outdoor spaces, bike friendly routes and meet neighbours.

Taking time to pause, connect in nature and reflect on our time together.

Free post ride Tea/Coffee for all participants.

Location: Midlands Arts Centre, Cannon Hill Park

Time: Please arrive from 9.30am for a 10am departure

What to expect:

Clean Air, Less Traffic, More Joy!

Arrive at MAC courtyard from 9.30am to join our easy going led bike ride. Be prepared to be out for about 2.5 hours exploring lovely bike friendly routes along greenways, shared paths and quiet roads. Finishing back at MAC for a chance to buy refreshments and to reflect on our day and our experiences.

Moving slowly and freely, spending more time outside, discovering nature and wild places on your doorstep provides opportunities to make meaningful connections with people, see your neighbourhood differently, get to know your community and understand the environment you live in. This is better for your health and wellbeing as well as the planet and something we can all benefit from. We are really looking forward to having fun, exploring and creating memories with you by bike.

All participants will receive a FREE post ride drink and an illustrated '69wards by Bike or Foot' map

Activities led by qualified leaders, suitable for all bikes and abilities

These are social activities, the pace will be gentle, nobody gets left behind. Expect lots of chatting and smiles.

Things to remember:

• You will need your own bike to take part in the led bike ride
• Arrive from 9.30am for a 10am departure
• If you can, please bring a reusable cup along to the ride for post ride drinks
• Childseats, bike trailers and tag alongs are welcome but if you have a non standard bike then do let us know in advance so we can make sure the route is as enjoyable for you too.
• Dress for the weather - Think about suitable footwear, gloves, a water proof and extra layers are a good idea this time of year
• Bring water/snacks for when you are out on the bike ride
