You’re invited to come together to join our easy going led bike ride, explore our local neighbourhood as a group, connect outdoors, finishing with a cuppa, light refreshments and chat.
When: Wednesday 1st May
Location: Midlands Arts Centre, Cannon Hill Park
What to expect:
Arrive at MAC courtyard at 10am to join our easy going led bike ride. Be prepared to be out for about 1.5 hours exploring lovely bike friendly routes along greenways, shared paths and quiet roads. Finishing back at MAC for a chance to buy refreshments and to reflect on our day and our experiences.
Moving slowly and freely, spending more time outside, discovering nature and wild places on your doorstep provides opportunities to make meaningful connections with people, see your neighborhood differently, get to know your community and understand the environment you live in. This is better for your health and wellbeing as well as the planet and something we can all benefit from. We are really looking forward to having fun, exploring and creating memories with you by bike.
Refreshments will be available to purchase from MAC
All participants will receive a FREE illustrated '69wards by Bike or Foot' map
Activities led by qualified leaders and suitable for all the family.
These are social activities, the pace will be gentle, nobody gets left behind. Expect lots of chatting and smiles.
Things to remember:
- You will need your own bike to take part in the led bike ride
- Childseats, bike trailers and tag alongs are welcome but if you have a non standard bike then do let us know in advance so we can make sure the route is as enjoyable for you too.
- Dress for the weather - Think about suitable footwear, gloves, a water proof and extra layers are a good idea this time of year
- Bring a drink/snacks for when you are out on the bike ride
