As part of the On Drawing lecture series, Claire Gilman, Acquavella Curator and Department Head of Modern and Contemporary Drawings at the Morgan Library & Museum, and former Chief Curator at the Drawing Center, New York, examines how curatorial methodologies help shape the discourse on drawing. Considering the frameworks of both institutions, Gilman reflects on how exhibitions and collections mediate the evolving definitions of drawing as a conceptual and material practice. This program takes place at the Menil Drawing Institute, located at 1412 W. Main St.
