About This EventIn this beginner-friendly workshop, students will learn foundational leatherworking skills while creating a small set of practical tools for knitting and fibre projects.
Participants will:
Set hardware by making a leather needle keeper
Hand-sew a small leather pouch designed to hold stitch markers
Create a set of five leather stitch markers, customized using leather stamps
Along the way, students will learn basic leatherworking techniques including hole punching, setting snaps, simple hand stitching, and surface stamping. All projects are designed to be useful, portable, and achievable within the class time, with no prior leatherworking experience required.
This class is ideal for knitters and fibre artists who enjoy learning new skills and want handmade tools they’ll actually use.
Materials Cost: $20 per student paid to instructor
