Please join us as, together with poets Don McKay, Michelle Porter, Darren Ivany, Christina Wells, and Mercy Alberta, we explore our love of this place, our island home, and unravel our shared reality through verse. At 7pm on the 8th of November, 2025, we invite you to bring your family and friends to O’Brien Farm, 150 Oxen Pond Road St. John’s, for an evening of wine (other beverages available), cheese, and poetry in the farm’s kitchen barn. Tickets are priced at $16. Buy your tickets and reserve a charcuterie board for your table at the link below. You can reserve a board to feed 4 when you purchase your tickets, and smaller ones will be available for purchase on the night.
Note! We want to keep our ticket prices as low as possible, while still making enough to cover our base costs, because we believe that art is for everyone. However, in saying that, we welcome any and all donations, the entirety of which will go towards supporting further arts programming and giving opportunities to creatives in our community. We will happily accept cash donations at the event!
Some particulars:
Heat lamps will be set up in the barn, but please come prepared for the weather so you can remain cozy!
Event starts at 7pm, doors open at 6:30.
In terms of accessibility, we want everyone to be able to join us and enjoy the reading, and the farm has accessibility measures in place to make that possible, HOWEVER, please keep in mind that most pathways around the farm - including the one from the carpark to the kitchen barn - are paved with loose gravel. If this is a barrier for you, please reach out in advance and the lovely O’Brien’s staff will be happy to accommodate: [email protected]
